7th Pay Commission Recommendations Would be Implemented From April 2018 - Jammu & Kashmir

New scales to take effect in JK from April 2018

As a follow to the announcement made by the Finance Minister, Dr Haseeb Drabu in his budget speech regarding implementation of the 7th Pay Commission recommendations in the State, the Government today constituted a high-level official panel to work-out the modalities in this regard.

According to an order issued by the General Administration Department (GAD), the Pay Committee shall examine the revision of pay scales of the State Government Employees/Pensioners pursuant to the implementation of 7th Central Pay Commission recommendations by Government of India.

To be headed by the Administrative Secretary, Planning Development & Monitoring Department, the Committee comprises Administrative Secretary Home Department, Administrative Secretary Public Works (R&B) Department, Administrative Secretary Finance Department, Administrative Secretary General Administration Department and Administrative Secretary Department of Law, Justice & Parliamentary Affairs as Members while Direct Codes, Finance Department will be the Member Secretary of the Committee.

Pertinently, the Finance Minister had, in his budget speech, announced that the 7th Pay Commission recommendations would be implemented in J&K from April 2018.
